MY SON DANIEL (1)

"My son Daniel has transformed our entire space. He is a non-verbal autistic person who endured enormous storms throughout his childhood. Sometimes, as many as four times a night, we would take him to the park, trying to calm him down a little. For many years, it was a constant struggle on the verge of complete collapse. Yet, at the same time, he radiated immense joy in the good moments. Throughout all this time, we communicate, sometimes getting closer, sometimes farther apart, sometimes through my songs, sometimes through a glance, and sometimes simply through proximity and distance, like abstract paintings constructing a world based on the relationships of colors.

In recent years, it has become much calmer and happier, and our understanding is like a conversation resembling streams, soap bubbles flying around the room, doors that open and allow us to peek inside, or jumping on the trampoline. This is our language. And all the while, I draw my beloved Daniel, and he responds with beams, bundles, and threads of light."
